TRIANGLE GRANNY SHAWL WITH SCALLOPED EDGE

Materials:

Gentle Ply Fingering Yarn in desired colors

6mm J Hook

Scissors

Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

sl st = slip stitch

sp = space

START

Ch 4, join with sl st to form ring.

ROW 1

Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, 3 dc in ring. Turn.

ROW 2

Ch 3, 2 dc in first side space.

3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in center ch-2 space.

3 dc in last side space. Turn.

ROW 3+

Ch 3, 2 dc in first side space.

Work 3 dc in each space across to center.

In center space work:

3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc.

Work 3 dc in each space across to last side space.

3 dc in last side space. Turn.

Repeat Row 3 until shawl is desired size.

COLOR CHANGES

Change colors at beginning of any row if desired.

SCALLOPED BORDER

Join yarn in last dc

In each granny space:

7 dc in same space

sl st in next space

At corner, sl st, 3dc, sl st

Finish off.

Weave in ends.
